New Arch and Open Day

Well my new arch turned up just in time for my open day.
Unfortunately I only had time to remove the turf and the usual bucket load of bricks and rubble, and place it into position. But today I have started planting it up with to Jasmins that I had in pots that really need something bigger to grow up, and a few lavanders that I had grwon from seed earlier this year.
Next year it should look and smell stunning. I am going to plant a few extra bits for early and late summer colour as well.
The open day we had arranged for Waterlooville and District garden club was a success, I think the early count is that we raised about £100 on tickets alone. I sold a few plants but I couldnt tell you what as I have absolutley loads left.
Not sure how many actually came to my garden but it was in excess of 30.
Dotty daisy turned up which was nice. She has provoked my thoughts on applying to the NGS.
I love talking to people about gardening, so it was an ideal time to have a chat with lots of different people.
Next year you are all more than welcome to come along.

Hi Trees, I think I saw that arch at Malvern, my daughter and I both loved it. It really sets that area off, I'm looking forward to seeing it next year in bloom. I would love to see your garden in the flesh, but I'm afraid you'd have to arrange a coach, picking up Goyers along the way lol :-)
