1st of June?

I can hardly believe it’s the 1st of June. As I type this, I’ve actually put the fire on, my feet are freezing! It’s been overcast and drizzling on and off all day and the temperature has plummeted.
I subscribed to the ‘Grow Your Own’ magazine earlier in the year and my first issue (July??) arrived today, along with 70+ ‘free’ veggie/salad plants which I had quite forgotton about.
As there wasn’t a spare sq. inch to spare in the garden the OH and myself decamped to the nearest garden centre to buy suitable containers. They were doing veg troughs at 2 for £15 and as I’d had a voucher given for my birthday, I put it to good use and bought 8. Then to PricePounder for the compost (peat free) 4 × 60lt for just under £10, bargain! Everything is now planted up down the drive, against the fence. They just need the warm weather to come back now.But got to be really careful bringing in the car as there’s only inches to spare!
Out picking the stuff for tonight’s side salad I noticed the first flower on the Sweetpeas. I couldn’t resist a sniff, it was gorgeous. Can’t wait for the rest to start coming out. I just love that heady perfume and usually cut some every day to bring into the house.
If the sun comes out tomorrow I’ll do my best to get the pics I promised and hopefully upload them, fingers crossed lol.

Lucky you having sweet peas already! Good luck with all your new veg planters - lots to look forward to.
We had a fire yesterday too - ridiculous innit?

Nice that you've got some sweet peas already. Mine all failed lol.
We are not having bad weather here. I hope it improves soon for you.
