Chorley Flower Show.

After so many event have had to be cancelled over the past 18/19 months it was so nice to see Chorley Council being brave and after cancelling last year’s show coming back with aplomb.
I’m not going to label every picture, but I thought you might like to take a look around with me.
It was held in the grounds of Astley Hall, a beautiful Elizabethan mansion which is currently having a lot of restoration taking place, before opening again to the public…that’s a blog for nother day.
For some reason the camera on my phone seems to mute so much of the colour, which is a shame because so much of the colour was amazing.
Right, I’m off to put my feet up now, all that walking has worn me out!

That looks a perfect day out to me and you must have had a lovely time. I did notice the beautiful displays of sweet peas ( mainly because ours have been a disaster this year!!!) and the roses too plus their scent in the marquee.
Thank you for taking us there and do put it on the calendar for next year!

Thank you for the tour Waddy! It all looks amazing and I loved the " flower" man!
I also loved the little patio area where the path up to it is made of flowers.
It's years since I have been to a flower show !
I think this it too far away from me!

I was also struck by the 'patio area' Rose.
I'm sue there will be some local flower shows near you. they're very popular.

How wonderful,Julia,I'm so glad you had a fine weather day,and wish we could have taken you up on your kind Invitation,but maybe next year ?
I love all the displays,and what dedicated people,to have finally been able to show off their skills this year.
I don't think the colours look muted ,in fact they look very
striking..I don't think I colud choose a favourite, as they are all beautiful :o)
I'm not surprised you were ready to put your feet up,but I'm sure you felt it was worth it :o) xx
