Reserve

Mower broke down yesterday so had to put it in for a service and do the front lawn with the reserve mower today. Whent in greenhouse fed toms and vamoosed out rapidley as it was 106F. Front lawn took more time to cut than usual but the res mower is very small, Turbo Fred (the tortoise) has a bigger shell than its grass box. To morrow its paint my palace (shed) and pressure wash the patio. If the weather continues to be good i may do a little on Tinys project also. Garden lawns looking great and my main Rose in front lawn absolutely wonderful. Great pleasure to see its new buds opening. This year the rose flowers seem to resemble Capo de monte wax appearance. Not a great deal of plants but each one giving me very much pleasure. Quality not quantity is a system i have in mind for next year. Since joining Goy each year i have tried to add a plant but now my good lady has decided Fuchsias be my goal. If i don,t complie i may not get my rich tea or fig bar and i could not survive such a calamity. Take care all enjoy Tony

Sheilar's right! That Rose is a cracker! Does it have a perfume? It looks like a hybrid tea, it's very grand! Are you just painting the outside of your palace, it looks very clean & neat from your photo, but maybe it just needs a wee lick for the winter! Does no harm anyway! I'm very envious of the way you can keep on top of jobs Tony, I'm always being distracted to go and do something else...and then I forget what I came out to do in the first place!
Hasn't the weather been lovely for a change! Mind you, the heat in the greenhouse would melt your face! And I've just noticed that the automatic window openers aren't working properly either, I think the wax has all disappeared, least I think they work by the wax expanding and pushing an arm forward which in turn pushes the window open, but I think they're sealed units, so I can't have a tinker at them, so I'll have to dive down the back of the sofa and see if I can gather the pennies together for two new ones! Never a dull moment, Tony! Have fun!!

two new greenhouses libet?
lovely rose 23, I dont think it will be too much of a hardship to grow fuchsias, i like them, they are very easy to take cuttings too.

Don't have expanding wax on my windows Libet, just very short arms and a chair. LOL

you can cut a little piece of the fuchsia off, put it in water and a couple of weeks later it will have roots!

Hi elizabeth Their is no limits to your uptodate knowledge of coal fired ipods and greenhouse auto windows. I am astounded .and now we have the wax application. You are 100% correct of course and i must admit admiration for your explanation. I use my hand to open my greenhouse window and am alas a primitive user of most applications. Elizabeth you are light years ahead of me in technology. Do you know how to repel ants? my freind is over run with them. We pressure washed the patio today as weather permitting we may have company tomorrow. Then its varnish my shed and paint the fence between ourself and Muffins home. My good lady takes it from their to decorate the lounge and bathroom. And Tinys project is always in the offing. Elizabeth if i have nothing to do i get so bored. We missed the Gym today in favour of the Patio so next week its going to keep me on the ball. Sorry my candles gone out and my flints wet (LoL). Take care Princess Tony

Nooo! Daftie Sticki! Two new automatic window openers! Lol! Mind you, hey Sticki, two new greenhouses would be grand! You could have one and I'll have the other! Note to self...Must do the lottery for Sticki and myself...
Grannyb, your way gets the job done too! Much cheaper as well, I saw one today, and it was £35! Heart attack!!

hi Rose 1949 Afraid my front lawn Rose label had a simular fate to yours . But i will find its origin and get it to you. Elizabeth is a good freind Rose but she is much more into gardening than i. We have a laugh and thats what life is about i think. Take care enjoy Tony
