Another NGS Garden (in Berkshire this time)

About five miles from me, on the west side of Wokingham, is an NGS garden. This originally opened for the Red Cross, before gaining ‘promotion’ to the National Gardens Scheme (although the plants sales and tea money still go to the Red Cross).
You arrive at the front garden and wonder if you have the right house
The signs lead you down a narrow path beside the house
And then this view confronts you
The plot was originally part of an orchard, and is still riddled with honey fungus. But as you can see, the owners have made a wonderful woodland garden, and even a small fruit and vegetable area off to one side
I hope you like this garden as much as I do.

Wow!! that's what you call a mega surprise, not sure what I thought it would be like at all, from the front I suppose I expected something like Diarmuid would have designed, all modern with shiny aluminium features, this is absolutely lovely and more to my liking, a garden one wants to wander in at leisure, thanks Andrew, I do like it...

Scottish - it attacks a lot of shrubs, and the owners lost a a lot before they discovered the reason for the deaths. But they bought a couple of physocarpus from me and those are growing without any ill effect.
Lincs - I took lots more photos, but they are all too large for GOY to process.

I think I'd be wondering if I had got the right house too. It's a beautiful garden and just goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover.
I don't know enough but would imagine that the honey fungus will stop them from growing quite a few plants - is that right?
