Flowers - But No Flowers

This coming Sunday (April 25th), my garden in Bracknell is open under the National Garden Scheme (affectionately known s the Yellow Book). The warm, sunny weather we are having here is bringing new plants into bloom every day so there should be lots to see if you are able to visit.
I thought it would be nice if GOY members were able to recognise each other and decided the easiest way would be a sticker, available at the gate. So I popped into Ryman’s this morning and browsed their rack of stickers, looking for some flower ones. There weren’t any! So instead, you will get a balloon sticker (which will probably be easier to spot anyway) – just ask for one on the way in.
The garden is open from 2-5pm, entrance is £3:50 which includes entry to another garden a mile away. Plant sales at mine, tea and home-made cake at the other one. Hope to see some members on Sunday – let’s hope the dry weather continues.

This is not instead of the summer opening is it Andrew? I don't have a Sophie sitter this weekend but was planning a visit later in the year. Hope you are busy.

Karen - no, I'm not a home baker but my garden colleague worked in catering for many years so I leave that side of things to her. By having the Plant Sales at mine, there is a good reason for people to visit both gardens
Ginellie - we try to open at different times of the year to avoid visitors seeing the same plants in flower every time. But you can still do 'by appointment' visits when you get my undivided attention :-)
