How grows my garden????

I am not sure it is a garden but there are plants!!!!

This is where it starts..dirt, compost and dogs…

egg cartons and plastic spoons..seeds of course :o)

Tomato babies in their outside cold frame…lost the three on the right…I dropped the glass and it hit them…now there are only marigolds in those pots but that is ok..how many tomato’s can one person eat??? I have about 5 there still…and there are marigolds with them as well…all will be juggled into big pots before long.

Just had to throw this shot in…it was taken on a trip I made to take my grand daughter to her driving lesson….we have miles and miles of Scotch Broom here…I was in a state of shock seeing it being sold in your garden shops there…

This Eagle likes to perch in a large fir near my garden…I snapped this with a zoom..you can see he is keeping his eye on me…so glad I am not a bunny rabbit….!!!!

Oh..here now I decided to take a walk in our local public garden for inspiration. It is the gazebo that you can see through the arbor walk and the straits beyond. Many weddings take place in this gazebo. Oh! and my grand daughters kindergarten graduation too! :o)

Another walk for inspiration…I love this time of year..when the Red Wing blackbird males sit atop the reeds in the marshes below the bluff..I can hear their call while I am out working in my seedlings…“No..NO!!! they say..there is no nest with my female and our eggs in these reeds!!! No! NO!!! look at me..See my red under my wing!..Follow me!..I will make a good meal!”

Lovely nature in action…sweet.

OK..this may look like I have let this area over grow…hmmm..you could be right!.. :o) But NO…It is actually my botanical experiment….In the foreground on the left is my wonderful “Lovage” ..it smells so celery like when I mow around it..and it can be used in soups…a leaf at a time mind you..it is very strong. To the right is my Garden Dragon in the middle of what looks like weeds…could be, but in my experiment I am finding that lady birds are having many babies at his feet and on through the tall growth there. You can see also many wild rose bushes here. The the birds love to find shelter in them and the rose hips that they produce are wonderful dried and added to teas. The hips provide a large dose of vitamin C and the shrub makes a nice hedge for privacy…YES!!….In the right hand corner you can see my cold frame…the Wild Rose bushes are providing warmth and shelter from the wind. To the far right I have a compost area for yard waste. this whole area has become a favorite spot for my curious mind to learn and enjoy nature and how she can work with us.

More shots from my walk through the local garden parks Arbor walk….Chief Chetzamoka park..named after a local American Indian Chief.

To this little guy..everything is a garden and wonderful…I spotted him eating dandelion tuffs like a wild thing..it was comical to watch…

Remember to really LIVE in each moment, to laugh, and to look for joy and beauty.
No need to look for the bad stuff…it is always there, just learn how to kick the bad to the curb as you pass by.

Thank you, all of you!...sorry I have not been around much...been busy outside and such. Still not sure what is happening with my home so am still putting most things in pots and just enjoying each day as best I can... :o) Strange some days feels almost like I am on holiday...lol...

Still planning to get back over to visit Steve(Gardeningfriend) one day..when this gets sorted here......we are still in touch. :o) Thank goodness for the internet!

I do love my trolley Sandra...saves my back a lot..I actually had my 2 grand daughters and one of their boyfriends help me fill it with horse manure compost and regular compost I have had in piles for years...then added some vermiculite I had here too...lol..and some ash from my wood stove in my garage...my own recipe..for potting soil...seems to make the plants happy.

I have a lot of potting up to do soon.

I am planning to put Sunflowers and Zuchinni's in pots...and the tomatoes and marigolds in pots and I have quite a few flower seedlings needing to get set out in pots too..and some seedlings yet to sprout..lol

Even tho I had a rough couple of years..this is the first year I have had the time to really enjoy gardening..so this is a joy for me...thank you all for your interest.
It is so nice to have people to share small joys with. :o)
