I love the last, blooming pink hawthorn (is it?) They are all beautiful but the blooming hawthorn is my favorite.

Thank you DD, for this lovely set of photos from the show. The trees are beautifully pruned with much dedication.

It would be good to have some basic instructions to
help enthusiasts to get started. This time of year when
everything is growing maybe the best. We all have the
odd growing dish. Does it have to have a drainage hole ?
How often do they have to be watered ?

Wonderful collection Dotty - did the labels say how old the trees were? I'd imagine more than 20 years for some of them . . .
Diane - yes, drainage hole essential, but cover it with gauze to keep the compost in. Use grit with compost to help with good drainage and water every day from Spring to Autumn unless it rains (obviously keep them outside!).

Lovely - they are perfect - we enjoyed Malvern too - there was a bonsai in the amateur showing in the bottom Hall - it was labelled Corokia Cotoneaster and it was a mass of yellow flowers -it was gorgeous you may have seen it - Jane
