Tomato Seed and the cost

This year, having lost my capsicum seedlings through my own fault, having paid £2.65 for ten seeds,I used some fresh seed from a capsicum I was using in my kitchen, and have at least fifty young inch high seedlings crowding a plant pot.
I intend to try and save some tomato seeds this year from my ferline which were also expensive to buy.
I did nothing special to those capsicum seeds, just crumbled the whole thing, still fresh and damp, straight into the pot and covered with seed compost.
No harm in trying !
