Lumi sulaa, snow is melting!

Niinpä tässä talven viime tuntuja hyvästellään. Linnut ovat saapuneet. Päivä on yötä pidempi ja aamulla aurinko saa jo aikaisin. Tomaatteja on tulee 32 tainta. No, ainakin ystävistä tulee onnellisia, kun saavat oman tomaattinsa. Enää 2 kuukautta kun kesä alkaa. Tämän viikonlopun hommana on omenapuiden leikkaus ja marjapensaat. Toivottavasti saan aikaiseksi.
Here we are saying goodbyes to winter’s last remnants. Birds have arrived. Day is longer than the night and the sun arrives at dawn early. There will be 32 tomato plants. Well, at least my friends will be happy, when receiving their own. Only 2 months more and the summer is here. This weekends matter is to cut the appletrees and berry bushes. Hopefully I’ll get it done.

Welcome to GoY, Mika.
I am looking forward to following your garden as it develops, I have no idea about gardening in Finland so I am sure I shall learn a lot.
Thank you, too, for posting in Finnish and English. I am studying to become a teacher of English as a Second Language so am interested to compare other languages with English.
In the UK apple trees are pruned in the winter or summer, I am guessing yours are still dormant?
Which bushes do you grow for berries? I have blackcurrant, redcurrant and worcesterberry bushes in my garden.
