Tomaatteja koulitessa, as schooling tomatoes

Askel kerrallaan sulaa odotellessa. Ensimmäiset tomaatit on koulittu. Paha tapa jättää kylvöt liian myöhäisiksi ja sato sen myötä. Mutta nyt näyttää hyvältä. Paprika ja munakoiso nousevat sekä yrtit. Toivottavasti kesästä tulee parempi kuin viime vuonna, jolloin sadetta riitti ihan yli tarpeen. Mutta kaiken kaikkiaan hyvältä näyttää. Ei pidä antaa uuden lumen lannistaa. “Uusi lumi, vanhan surma” kuten sananlasku sanoo. Ja päivät pitenevät koko ajan. Valoa alkaa olla jo riittävästi. Että ei muuta kuin satoa odottamaan…

One step further as waiting for a thaw. First tomatoes has been schooled. Bad habit to leave sowing for too late and a harvest too as a result. But it looks good now. Paprika and aubergine are lifting they heads and also herbs. Hopefully the coming summer will be better than the last year’s, there were rain more than plenty. But all in all, it looks good. Just should not let new snow to pull you down. “New snow, demise for the old one” says the proverb. And days are getting longer all the time. There starts to be light enough. So, nothing but waiting for the harvesting…
