Oh what a wrench that will be. I do hope it will be bought by someone who will care for it as you have done and that you'll be able to take some of your favourite "babies" with you when you go. Please stay with us on Goy though - your wise advice is always valued.

It's sad to leave a garden you've loved for years. Good luck in your new home. I hope you enjoy your new garden.
As the others have said, please stay and share it with us :)

Oh Wow! How can you bear to leave it? Good luck though, I am sure you have a very good reason for leaving such idyllic surroundings.

Beautiful... and hard to leave behind. There's often much to be heartbroken about in life, but leaving a much loved and worked garden is up in the top 5 for me... but eventually, it has to be done. I hope you have somewhere to grow something when you settle elsewhere.

I think you should make it a stipulation that the buyer is someone who will post on GOY! Whoever becomes the new owner will have a wonderful garden.

I be alway thought this garden gorgeous I would hate to have to leave such a beauty behind I to hope you still post I assume your moving to a smaller garden as getting older the up keep is hard to keep up with the size. I hope you remain with us to Owdboggie and hope the new buyer joins to. Can not wait to see your new garden hopefully.

One thing I will be cheeky enough to ask Ob, I know its up to you but please don't delete your account, I've just realised that if you do they won't remain in my favs will they...

Not deleting the account, just selling the house as we have reached the stage where age and infirmity make it necessary. We are hoping to find a bungalow with a reasonable size garden rather than watch this one fall into disrepair because we cannot keep it up.

Oh so pleased about that Ob, so many members have deleted their accounts over the years, I know its their right but find it sad when we lose not only contact but the blogs and photographs as well.
I understand exactly your reasons, I hope you find what you are looking for, new beginnings Ob, I'm crossing my fingers for you that its not going to take too long...

as already said it will be a wrench to move but as you say needs must.
Like many I have been inspired by yours.

Too late, we think we have sold it. Found a nice bungalow in the next village. Garden is smaller but still big enough to play in.

Oh I'm pleased for you Ob, best of both worlds by the sounds of it, I hope it all goes through for you and am looking forwards to seeing your new garden when the time is right....

If we manage to get this new place, the garden is such that we can make it as easy as we need it to be.
9 Dec, 2017
fingers crossed that all goes smoothly for you owd.

Oh goodness, I should think that is going to be a wrench Ob, I have enjoyed seeing your lovely garden over the years, always called it your estate, I don't mind admitting I have gained a lot of inspiration from it. I hope you are going to stay in touch when you move and sincerely hope you find somewhere that really appeals to you..
Wherever you end up I wish you well, I will miss seeing your posts but I've kept all the blogs in my favourites so can still take a meander..
