"Here Come The Rose's"

I am only just starting to build up my collection of Roses, so thought you may like to see those in bloom at the moment.

My Favourite Rose “PEACE

“Hilda Ogden” [Patio Rose]

We may not remember Hilda as being very glamorous but just look at her in all her finery!

“New Dawn” another beauty with a very delicate tinge of pink

“Golden Showers”
A beautiful vigorous climber

“Double Delight”

A lovely standard Rose, profuse flowerer whose buds and flowers live upto its name

[I will post a picture of this Rose when it is fully opened.]

“Korlalon” [ Ground Cover Rose]

This lovely rose starts off a deep yellow and slowly fades to a creamy white, [a great little rose flowering into late August].

Albertine [Rambler],another favourite of mine, its clusters of white of medium sized Roses, light up the borders.

There are a few more Roses in the garden but they are not open yet, so I will save them for another day.

Thanks for viewing and Happy Gardening;0))

Beautiful roses and I too am very fond of 'Peace' but all of them look really lovely and extremely healthy with such glossy leaves.

Please add the rest when they have opened out a little more.

Beautiful roses, I have been pondering where to put some more roses, as at the moment they are lighting up the garden for me too. Just love them, now I think you have just about made my mind up for me. The only problem now is the waiting to get them. I wonder, I wonder, if there might just be some still in my favourite garden centre and then I could maybe, just maybe, get them in the garden borders this summer. lol. ah well I will get the spade out this week now and move some plants out of the way. Now look see what you have done!!! lol

All beautiful roses. You still have the peace in your garden!!! That is fantastic, as I have not seen any of them, since I had the last one 30 years ago.
My roses were late to flower this year, but they flowered all together with a couple of days and are about to finish very soon. I am a little upset about it and blame the hot weather we had here recently. Luckily they are repeat flowering roses and hope to get more blooms soon and probably last longer.

Oliveoil...I noticed that they have Boscobel in pots in Dobbies again now! I didn't get one, but I might get one this week if they have any left. Really need a Graham Thomas! Was also wondering if Carole's 'New Dawn' might be the one you don't have a name for in your garden?

Sorry Carole! I got distracted for a moment there...your roses are beautiful. It was years before I really got in to Roses. It was David Austin's English ones that captivated me, and I still love his roses, but over the last few years I have started to diversify a bit. I find a lot of the very heavy double flowers don't do well here because we get too much rain and they go to mouldy balls of mush :( But this garden will have some single flowered Roses so the Bees can get in.

I think I like Peace the best too. :)

Now where could I put a few more roses? You've probably started a buying spree now, PP! Peace is beautiful but I like the idea of the ground cover ones - may have to do some investigating :)
