Rained in

So its time for Succulent study. Just before the re\cent frost I managed to bring tender plants safely under cover. All very well but not sorted out, just put anywhere safe and frost free. So now I try to put some system into the job.. Starting with ‘A’ which meant Adromiscus cooperi

All fine and dandy but next in my ‘Plant Pix’ was another Adromischus. I had misnamed it, it was really Aichryson bethencourtianum, which I have now added

When I first looked at my Pix list I thought there is something wrong here. So now you can see what I think is a fairly unusual Succulent. Probably because it tends to disintegrate after flowering., Flowering stems dying off,, leaving just a few tufts of leafage. So I have had to bury the plant in sharp sand.
It has stopped raining now , so will stop, This was a try out of the ‘save you Blog’ . I had to stop twice to add photos, which in the past would have meant losing whatn I had already written. Many thanks to Ajay and Peter.

It's a lot easier, isn't it! I agree with you, Poaannua. It also takes a lot less time to insert photos. :-)

I don't know much about succulents. A friend gave me one, I'll have to post a picture for you to give me some expert advice.

So, what happens after you bury the plant in sharp sand...how long does it take for these to flower? The flowers are nice. Will the leftover tufts of leafage grow into another plant?

I've tried Aichryson several times but it always dies off. I thought it was because I'd done something to it but it seems this is a common thing.
