Yesterday I was shocked to find this broken branch Of Choisya ternata, weighed down by the snow and hanging by just a twist of bark. The largest part of the Bush.
and another picture to show its size
This afternoon I looked at\the new questions and there was a question re loss of Branch on a Choisya ternata. . So after answering the question, the answer to which I can only guess..I felt compeled to go out and take a picture, despite the welcome rain that I hope will remove the remaining snow.
I think I will spend rest of afternoon browsing GOY Photos and Blogs.

Yes, snow looks nice on the plants but can do damage. What a shame about the Choisya. The garden looks very nice even with the rain and the snow.Let's hope we've all seen the last of the snow this winter.Although I suspect not!

i havent had a good look at the damage yet. i think i'll wait a week or two to give them chance to recover...maybe you could take some cuttings from the choisya. looking at all your pots, are you planning a new area/

I am sorry, Poaannua. I hate to see damaged shrubs. Will you have to replace it? I don't know about when to take cuttings, or if they 'take' easily, but you will, I'm sure.

Thank you all for your comments.. As you suggest I shall take cuttings, A little bit late but is possible to root them in the open ground. Itr was really my fault as I took away much of the lower branches to make space for the pot plants. I think i've been lucky really as little else apart from the Succulents has been damaged. safely tucked away under the snow.

Last of the snow in my garden melted away today.
The birds seemed pleased, and were very active at the feeders and in the bird baths.
Poaannua ~
Has your snow all gone now ?
Did you find any more damage ?

Terratoonie Yes \all snow gone and surpriingly some of the plants are looking much better than I expected I don't see many Birds as my next door Neighbour has a much denser garden and they tend to favour his several Bird tables and nutcases. I specialise in the Jackdaws ,Doves and Pigeons.

I hope the snow hasn't damaged too many of your plants. What better way to spend a wet afternoon than looking at GOY.
