Making newspaper pots with the children at school and planting maple tre...

There is a lovely maple tree in front of our school and I noticed that it had hundreds of little seedlings underneath it. I scooped up a dozen or so and brought them home :)
I also wanted to plant the maple seedlings with the children and was thinking of an inexspensive way to do it. I remembered Jacque’s newspaper pots and thought that it would be fun to make them with the children and to plant the seedlings in them. I also liked the fact that we were using recycled material for our project :) Thanks for the great idea Jacque and for your blog :)))

We used wooden blocks instead of baked beans :)

Excuse me for being 'pushy', but who wrote a blog about newspaper pots before Jacque did? (though hers were neater, I fully admit)
Now I am all upset and feeling unloved and ignored. SOB, SOB, SOB. :-(

Glad that you all liked the blog :) The children will love getting their hands in the dirt and watering the seedlings...they love water!
Spritz- I surely didn't mean to offend...I simply didn't see your newspaper pot blog :) I've been working more hours lately and find that a missed day on GoY sets me back 20 pages... Thanks to both you and Jacque for a great idea ;~)

S' OK, Tastey! I know you love me really! I've stopped sobbing now because Jac sent me a hug and kisses!
I wrote the blog back in October, because I mentioned in passing about newspaper pots and someone suggested that I showed people how!
