Just beautiful...We saw this done in Madeira, I think it was, and it's quite amazing the time and dedication to detail in all the patterns! Please don't apologise for shadows - it's nice to know that the sun shone on you. :-))

Lovely to see again, so much work must go into these designs. The ones going up the steps to the 'New church' are stunning.

Thank you for all your comments. It's amazing how many petals are needed to make these - luckily there is quite an endless supply and all the locals rally round with their bags full of colourful goodies from their gardens (stored in the fridge after they've been picked so they don't wilt too much before use).
