Yesterday was a difficult day as I went to bed in the afternoon in preparation for my set of night shifts, leaving Steven to carry on with the garden himself. He did a fantastic job though…
Building a gate
Adding the deck board to build up the wall. The posts will be cut down of course!
More levelling of the lower area
-very hard labourous work.
And cutting in and preparing the area that will end of being the steps.
No little helpers today though as they are at school/ childminder.
I personally find it soooo hard going to bed during the day, knowing the garden is right there in need of more work. I do have a pile of gardening books beside my bed though so even though Im not getting my hands dirty, Im still planning what will go into the new flower beds.
Anyway, due to my shifts etc, I’ll start blogging weekly, but I’ll try to take photos as things change. I still finding it all very exciting!!!!!! Tonight at work I getting some more gardening tools from a chap at work- and a wheelbarrow, so shifting all that top soil will be slighty easier-phew!

Good for Steven, he certainly has cracked on with it, and part of his reward will be your pleasure. Poor you working nights, its just not natural is it? I do admire people who do it though. I bet your garden will be looking great in the not too distant future.
