Have you noticed????

I've noticed this aswell.
There are lots of irritating things about GoY :o( It very often gets on my nerves ....
I've tried telling them about some things in the past, but they don't take any notice. Or they say it's my computer's fault.

I'm very pleased to say I don't have this problem or any other apart from a horrid ad which jiggles around on the side of the screen telling me I'm today's iphone winner. Even if I click box to close it or press "no", it doesn't go........ SO annoying

Have you tried installing 'adblock' Lily ? .I got told about it when the site layout changed,and I don't get anything now..

Yes, aren't they annoying, those ads? I get mine in Italian. I find it a tad disconcerting that if in the blog or question or text generally a subject such as, say, "wedding" appears, the advertisements reflect this, and I start getting ads for rings and caterers. Spies or clever technology? There! I've just had one pop up for weddings in the Caribbean!

So are you going to take them up on their 'not to be missed' experience of a lifetime ?..you don't have to tell them you are already married..and I could be maid of honour.:o)

Soon after I wrote the recent "Hats" blog for Hywel, I was getting adverts for Wellies, and then Dresses... Lol.

Ahem....this blog is about admin matters....not on line adverts.......lol

I'll tell Maria that about being a bridesmaid- if I can make her understand, that is. (She's no experience of computers at all - she only got electricity in the 70's) She'd be tickled pink! I can picture it now - maybe a tasteful line in grass skirts and frangipani bouquets? LO even L'er! Any other volunteers?
You absolutely right, Amblealice, but there's only so much you can say about admin matters without falling asleep.

Sorry AA it was my fault for deviating in the first place. It would seem that so far no one else has this problem then? Maybe you should contact Peter about it, I had a similar problem (couldn't delete any PMs) that was peculiar to my homepages and they fixed it easily.

Think Hywel has had this problem too.....

Sorry Lou..you of all people ,know how I am easily led.and easily distracted..so my teachers told me ! ...so I am suitably chastised..and will try to stick with the relevant topic :o))..If you believe that,you will believe owt ! :o))))))))

It's still worth a try AA if it's really irritating you.

glad you have got the seasonal spirit Lou..LOl ..I was a bit confused,as I saw you had written" deleted" and I checked and I didn't have this on my choice of things to do..but have you now changed it to " stop following"? Yes,I do use this,but only because I probably won't want to look again...Hope this is what you meant....:o)

Yes Sandra....I changed it to "stop following".....not that it does at all!!!!!!!I will eventually get round to asking Peter and/or Ajay to sort it........:-)

You must have a huge list of things on your homepage AA if you can't delete anything, or do they self destruct after a certain length of time! Do get them to fix it because the new system is great, you just press "stop following" and the thing disappears before your eyes, no slow changing to the next screen like before :o)))

No...you misunderstand....or I haven't made myself clear......its not a question of me deleting anything....its when you comment on a thread and all the subsequent replies pop up.....irrespective of whether you have said "stop following" or not....it takes quite a while before the system kicks in and stops.......:-))
