Just when I spent ages watering baskets and tubs…..the heavens open. Anyway it is lovely and still out there and the clouds are …pinkish….thats good isn’t it?……have had a very unsatisfactory day….garden wise……our neighbours….lovely people…..have had a new extension built and part of the plan was to put decking down…. nowt wrong with that….we have it and love it…..fencing!!!! the lady knows this fence is her boundary/responsibility….her partner of 2 years….whose paid for the extension……has listened to their builder who said “oh it probs belongs next door its on their boundary”…uh.oh…..no……..it dont……anway…in his wisdom he told me a few weeks ago that he was getting a new fence and putting it inside the original…..eeeeeekkkkkkk……because we had plants on and cable for the greenhouse….bla…bla….bla……all it needs really is straightening up and a lick o’ paint……….however …it went up today…..10 flami n’ hours of it!!!! it looks like the Berlin wall but gives us more privacy……..Brian told him we will probs take the old fence down in the winter and put up trelliswork to grow climbers on….I have a fancy for a series of triangles…using trellis…it would look quite attractive….but there’s time to think about it……The upside is that the black bird that had been building a nest in the clematis on said fence…..has come back and she is sitting there quite happy…..and hubby is sitting on the fence singing…..ah….
Anyhow…..am having an early night cos we are off early tomorrow for a family christening. Our great grand daughter (by marriage)….Brian’s daughter is on her third marriage……her hubby is too…..his daughter has the wee one….,she is 2 at the end of August…..she was as good as gold at their wedding a year ago….(I love well behaved bairns)…….It is her christening tomorrow….her name?….Leonie Ann………ttfn
