Better late than never!

This year was my first attempt at growing Roses. I planted three bare root ‘Gertrude Jekyll’s’ back in April. I thought perhaps I was a bit late in planting them so didn’t expect much in the way of flowering this year. The awful summer weather didn’t do much to help them. In June/July they were quite small in height and not many buds. Then to my suprise during late summer they really ‘took off’. I have had endless repeat flowering and the fragrance was wonderful!
