Here are a few photos taken of my garden yesterday after a heavy shower, the sun came out later but the shadows are so low now the flash on the camera goes off. I have been grateful for the last few nice weekends and the chance to get outside so late in the year.
The next photos are of the bottom garden, you can see how brown the grass is still after the long dry spell.
The steps on both sides
A few of the late flowers
Osteospermum jucundum
Erodium ’Fran’s delight’
Flowers on Hosta ‘Limelight’ which was sent to me earlier this year by Bjs
Polygonum affine ‘Dimity’ with Atumn tintsSmall flowered Chrysanthemum
Fuchsia ‘Display’
Hydrangea ‘Rosita’
Fresh white Hebe flowers
The back patio pots
Heather pot
The Side garden
The lawn here is greening up a lot quicker than the bottom garden
The shady corner by the garage
Woodwardia fimbriata, Giant chain fern in the shady corner
Now round to the front garden
This photo was taken last weekend
Chrysanthemum, Sedum and Fatsia japonica
Penstemon ‘Purple Passion’ ready to flower again
And one last close up of my Morrisons Chrysanthemum bought earlier this week
This will be my last Autumn/winter here so these photos will be nice to look back on after I move. Thank you for coming round with me and Happy Halloween to you all.

Beautiful blog, Annella.
Nice that you'll have these photos to look back on next year... and they will remind you of favourite plantings, some of which you might be able to re-create in another garden.. :o)
Happy Hallowe'en ...

Stunning as ever Annella. Do you have 2 sets of steps? Love the bank, looks so good. Is that a cotoneaster on picture 2, to the right, with the berries?
You can sculpt pumpkins too!

What a beautiful garden! All those different 'rooms!' How can you bear to leave it? I'd be devastated to leave such a wonderful place. I hope whoever buys it looks after it as well as you have obviously done.

Dawn, yes there are two sets of steps, one on each side of the garden. The tree on the right is a crab apple, it is a mass of fruit this year.

I see Annella, love the steps. Arrr crab apple, lovely. I have 2, Malus Profusion and M tschonoskii - still young though, looking forward to them looking like yours. I see your beautiful pink groundcover/shrub rose is still flowering away :-) Love your garden Annella, works so well, what a grand job you have done.

Super! I love comparing the garden from late Autumn to Summer. I'm sure I would never remember properly without photos. Congratulations on such lovely planting.
