December garden

I took a days holiday yesterday to finish painting my lounge but couldn’t resist a quick wander round the garden before I started.
In the front garden my Arabis has come back into flower, It’s never done this in December before.
Hebe ‘Mrs Winder’ has taken on her Autumn tints and has some new flowers coming.
The front garden has been so much easier to look after since the gravel went down.
It was nice to see the sunlight in the back garden.
I trimmed this little Diascia back last month, now It has fresh leaves and new flowers.
Cyclamen and succulent in the bottom border.
The bird bath needed cleaning out.
My seat in the corner of the top garden. Beside the Holly and Ivy there is a Blackbirds nest from this year. You could hear the babies if you sat here quietly in the summer.
The nest hidden in the corner. It was covered by a Solanum that’s now trimmed back.
This Anemone is still in flower. It was white but now has a pink tint.
Campanula ‘Monique’ and an unidentified Hebe grown from a cutting 10 years ago. Both so reliable and winter flowering.
I could have pottered out here for hours but did manage to go in and finish the painting.
Thank you for joining me :-)))

It's amazing what's still in flower in your garden, and I have flowers out, too! No spring ones early though, lol.
