The bottom garden

After a spell of drier brighter weather I was able to cut the bottom garden lawn on Sunday. Only two weeks ago it was too wet to walk on but at this time of the year it does start to get some sun. It looked a mess, but with a quick clean up and cut I was quite impressed!
My little Flymo, not everyones favorite but it goes round the curvy edges well and is light enough for me to get down the steps
The bottom step needs a repair
Looking down
The sun goes behind the house at about 1 o’clock this time of the year, I can’t wait till we change the clocks
Although it was bright on Sunday the wind was very cold so tidying the bottom borders was postponed!
The top border taken from the steps
Sunny shrubs
Vibernum & Photinia
The top border gets sun all afternoon but none in the morning
I’m glad I was able to make a start and hopefully next weekends weather will be fine

What a lovely secluded haven Annella. We can see it is your pride & joy
the way you, look after it, looks nice and neat for this time of the year.
I can see what you mean about your lawnmower having to be light to
carry down those flight of steps....Could be hard work.
Love your choice of Shrubs, and your flower planting selection. Looks
Beautiful in Summer! : >)))))

You're making good progress. Won't it be wonderful when it looks like the last pic again :o)) But your garden always looks lovely anyway.

Annella, your garden is really beautiful. I know what you mean about the sunshine, I have a shady border gets absolutely no sun all winter. Just starting to get some in the morning now. Thanks for saying about the mower. We had a big petrol one, but now that we've removed so much turf I need one that I can manoevre around the curves! I'll maybe get one like yours then hubby will be glad cos he won't have to cut it for me!

Thank you all :-))
Karensusan, I always have my lawn edges about 3" higher than the borders so the Flymo can skim right over them and its light enough not to do any damage. This way I only have to trim the edges every two or three cuts :-))
