Plants From Amy

What a cold ho hum day. At least the trees are happy!
I’ll be inside working today. Not a great day to be outside.
Christmas? What could this be?
Costello is definitely curious
It’s from Amy on GoY!! She actually sent them!
Plants from the UK!
Anacyclus! I’ve admired these in her blog! I can’t believe she actually sent them! One even has a flower on it!
They’ve just traveled over 3,000 miles crossing how many time zones. I’ll give them a chance to rest and acclimate to the New York environment. I think they’ll like it here. I’ll just pot them up for a few days until they adjust – with some of this.
a drink of fresh rainwater.
They need to establish a new circadian rhythm. My African Violets will keep them company until they are ready to go outside in a couple days.

Dianebulley - I agree, I met a lot of fantastic friends on here. I would google for the Meccano or check Amazon.com.
Pamg - I've made many good friends on here. Distance doesn't seem to be an issue. It's awesome to share a common interest across the world with so many wonderful people. Thank You :) xx
Amy - I was pleasantly surprised to receive you package yesterday. The Anacyclus have arrived in very good condition because of how you carefully packaged them & the bubble wrap. I moved them outside today into the rain and they are looking much better already. Thanks again. Pics to come! :) XX

Its part of my life now and I for one have always been thankful that I found it, keeps me company when I can't sleep as well as feeling that I now have many friends around the world.
Great feeling opening parcels isn't it, hope they do well for you Paul, poor Costello, I guess he was a tad disappointed when he found it wasn't edible....

Thanks Sue, I agree with all of you sentiments. I've made many friends on this site even though I never get to see anybody - the warmth and love still filters through. Costello sends his kitty kisses. :) thanks

Thanks Dotty. Amy was very kind to send these to me. I call them "Amy's Plants" They are doing very well. They seem to like hot & dry weather.

What fun..I cannot believe that they look in such good shape. Someone must have known what was in the box. Hurrah for Amy.

LOL I'm as surprised as you are. I certainly didn't expect it to survive the long cold winter but I think it used the time to get rested and adjust to its new home. I'll see how the tea tastes - that's the final test.

There are some great hearted people on Goy.
I am looking for a set of Meccano to play with next
winter. Has anyone got a set in the attic to sell ?
