Springtime is almost over Downunder ... and it's been an unusual one!

Here in my part of Oz the rainfall has been unbelievable during our Spring months. For those who know something about my garden you will understand when I say that our ‘dry’ season this year … which runs from Autumn right through to the beginning of Summer … has been quite unseasonably wet.
We usually receive little or no rainfall for those nine months or so … but this year there has been a marked difference. We’ve had months of drizzly days and now the heavens seem to have opened. It seems like our ‘wet’ season has come a couple of months early. Luckily only a few of my drought tolerant plants have been suffering, most of the garden is flourishing.
For a little look at what’s blooming right now, please click on the link below and have a peek at some of my garden photos.
The end of our Spring downunder is nigh!

I keep wondering where this global warming is, because we have not seen any of it at all.

Thanks Pamg. Actually the predictions for this coming Summer are not that good. There are forecasts of one of the wettest 'wet' seasons for many, many years and forecasts of around six cyclones here on the north-east coast. This present heavy rainfall is from a low hanging just off the coast ... not a good sign!

Hi Carol ... would you believe our Spring has been one of the coolest for a long time. We're still enjoying days with highs below 30 deg C 986 F) which is so unusual for late November!

Great blog Bernieh, I thought I had accidently clicked onto a music blog while looking at your beautiful plants. Have a lovely summer, hope you don't get too much rain.

That picture of a rainbow above is really good! :-)) Not common to see a rainbow with that sort of background!
The climate change is affecting us all with strange, out-of-season weather everywhere. We have been told to expect colder, wetter winters with more snow than we are accustomed to. I just hope we don't have a repetition of our last winter! They said it was a once-in-30-year event, I hope they are right! LOL!

Lol, sorry Pam! I don't mean to brag!
Stickitoffee ... the music is by a composer called Shane Walsh.
Linda ... keep your fingers crossed the predictions don't come true. It would make a really unpleasant summer if they do.
Balcony ... we've been seeing quite a few rainbows lately. I saw a double just last week ... that was a spectacular sight but I was at work and had no camera, of course! I will definitely keep my fingers crossed that you don't get a repetition of last Winter! Things have been so different in so many parts of the world this year.

its a bit odd here too Berneih, we've been told to expect some snow this week which is early for us, last year-- especially at the start of the year we had more snow than for many years, this year we had a frost in late august and now snow forecast at least a month early, seems that the weather is odd everywhere-- hope you have a pleasant summer to make up for the wet spring
