Keeping my fingers crossed all goes well for your little one, it is such an achievment this operation - he will be able to hear everything and anything once he is fitted up with his aids. Good luck little Rhys, happy hearing. :o))

Fantastic ! Something I have needed for 45 years !
There are various problems with hearing aids
the worst one is a Vicar I know. He knows I am deaf and have to be within 12 feet of him for the hearing aids to
work.
So when I am close up to him he shouts at me. Nearly blows my head off.
Its very annoying. Bah.
Dont expect Rhys to have perfect hearing because this
work has been done. He will tell you if everything is too loud.
Football crowds may upset him. Being too close to church organs. Or engines.

Diane it comes with remote control for adjusting base treble, loudness and so on, we shall see anything is better than nothing which is what he has had up to now

ah bless him. Hope all goes well. A friend's daughter has had a cochlear implant and it works brilliantly for her.

So much good can become of modern medical technology & stories like this warm the "cockles of ye heart"!

Balcony still early days the hospital is increasing the volume very slowly

Good to hear he is getting all the attention he needs. I can imagine they would increase the volume level very slowly as, unlike sight, you can't turn hearing off! You can shut out light by closing your eyes but you can't close your ears! LOL!

Pleased he is ok Brian, thinking about it seriously they will have to be very gentle with turning the volume up as the little mite would be terrified at first, bless him I'm willing it to work for him.....
