Big and makes a statement with a gorgeous scent almost all the flowers opened together overnight.
Name Lilium Revelation a pretty apt name
Just to let you know he is still around. He is going to the seaside with me tomorrow for a short break
This easier on the eye. I love it
Lilium Leichtlinii
this one some may remember I grew last year reaching to about 6 feet with many blooms that lasted ages two main corms were re potted early this year somewhere it all went wrong and the roots rotted.(to much water to soon)my fault, however there were about ten small offset bulbs that were potted not expecting flowers this year, pleased to say I was wrong again
This is just three bulbils
enjoy

Love them all Brian and the last one is my favourite. Glad all's come good in the end.
I hope you all enjoy your wee break at the seaside.

Lovely lilies Bjs. I can't choose a favourite because I love all of them. Enjoy your holiday. Our dog loved the seaside and I guess Jamie will too.

Isn't it interesting that we all chose different favourites?

These Lilies are really lovely, Brian! I had some, that I grew from seeds sent to me from a lady on another forum, that flowered for several weeks on our balcony. Sadly they are over for this year. :-((
My daughter got me a pot of Lilies for Father's Day. These have also finished for this year but I shall repot them & hopefully will get more flowers next year from them. :-))

Balcony I cut the seed pods and give them a couple feeds that seems all they require to come back bigger and better the following year.

I agree with you, Brian, I also do the same! :-)) In fact that is my general practise with the immense majority of my plants! I rarely want to save their seeds but I normally want them to flower for as long as possible & removing dead heads before they make seedpods does that.

After asking the question about the lily beetle I have found that God old washing up liquid in water is not to their taste. It requires doing regularly and it seems to eventually get rid of them all. For any pests I try this first and it has proved very successful.
