Mainly Snowdrops

More than any year I can remember things growing outside are weather damaged,An example I have never seen hellebore buds rotting with the wet before they can open.So it is even more essential I have many in my glass houses.
I do have quite a lot of snowdrops outside but the ones i will show you now are some of my special ones under cover.
With even more rain to come in the next two days I hope these will serve to brighten them just a little
I forgot to add this one different in that it often has five or six outer petals making for a substantial flower

Yes, I've lost quite a lot of my grasses due to my ground holding on to the water and there certainly has been plenty for it to hold onto this year!
That's a very pretty little Primula.

You have a wonderful collection..... luckily you have lots of glass houses , so they are in pristine condition, like you we have had so much rain, and more to come !! with frosts would you believe it? We have all our succulents in the conservatory thank goodness.

Hello Brian - and what a lovely selection of snowdrops and bulbs - your glasshouses are a treasure - I have quite a lot of things in the cold frames which are sheltering from all this rain - the cyclamen are still flowering - and the snowdrops in the garden are holding their own with the elements - I will post some pics of the garden to date if we get a break in the rain !! What a super collection of Snowdrops. Luckily you have that large greenhouse, but I expect you wish it were bigger.

Siris
Yes I would not grow them without the greenhouse that is about 14ft x 12ft so room to move about I have another cedar one 10 x8 ft.
in the past when I was showing there was a third one even bigger 18 ft long but did away with that and large pots a long time ago.
Jane look forward to seeing your pictures.

A great blog on Snowdrops, Brian! I love them all but it came as quite a surprise when the blue Romulea popped out as I was scrolling through the photos!
The Snowdrops you sent me a couple of years ago are just starting to flower on our balcony! :-)) They are also the first to make a start!
