Working on the front

I wasn’t going to do anything to the front other than mow the lawn as it is very open and everyone and their pets think it is ok to trample all over my front lawn LOL

BUT this is what I did yesterday.
I just tidied up what was there, extended the border and edged ( or tried to ) a wavey shape.
Needless to say it got bigger and bigger LOL
Still needs a few more flowers yet.

This is what I am going to be working on in just a moment when I finish my lunch.
I hope to have an after photo a little later ;O)
The trellis was already there but underneath at the moment is just a mass of weeds and grass.

Ok this is where I got to today.
I am hoping the sweet peas will be delivered tomorrow.
This is currently the neatest part of my whole garden LOL

As always my ever faithful guard cat is with me LOL

You'll be losing a lot more of that grass/lawn B L ;-))
I had a similar garden 3.5 years ago and now ..... at least 60% of it's been turned over to beds and borders ..... much more attractive and ..... as i 'loathe' cutting grass and edging, better there too :-))))))))))))))))

I've just looked at your website .... your cats look sweet ... one of them's 'so' laid back !!!!

The less grass the better :o))) It's boring.

I have the same problem with people trampling over the front garden because it is 'open plan'. A lovely theory but no privacy. I'm going for a spiky plant theme under the front window to stop them getting close enough to look in! Can you get it fenced in so they can't walk over it? We will do eventually.

Does your front garden not have a fence or anything round it to stop people and pets coming on it..

or could you maybe edge it with something ..at flats near me they have an open lawn and one of the residents has put dwarf conifers to stop people crossing it..

I have found that when a garden is cared for and looks nice people respect it more.

What about a few pots raised off the grass for a divider? Or a push in little fence with a few pots either side to hold it up.
