A quick dash to Waddeston Manor

We popped in on our way to Oxford to this hitherto unknown. A mad dash in the sunshine the week after flower beds were taken up…..Waddeston Manor is in Buckinghamshire on the A41 to Aylesbury. Certainly very French with many rare books ,porcelain & fine arts. The Rothschilds still live there and let National Trust have it to exhibit…….
Yep !!Solid Malachite.
We did see other birds in the aviary but they were so far back!!! Wire on wire. My preference is for them to be in their natural habitat. The hedge birds were somewhat different!!

We were on a timed ticket. From 3.00 pm to 4.30.......need all day really......But as with these places nearly every stick of furniture is of great charm & merit!!

Oh thats a very grand place , I too like the bird arrangements in the beds, I tried to see if there was any clover growing in their lawns, lol, I'll have to add that one to our list for when we get to that area, thankyou for sharing Bill .......
