A bit of a breeze scatters the pink snow. Welsh poppies have just started in the front garden

Isn't springtime wonderful...

My last place of work had a drive way lined with 16 these and it always looked stunning when they started to 'snow'. Mind you stunning when still on the tree.

The welsh poppies look good too. I have 2 orange ones and hope that some will also be yellow.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Bill. It reminds me of the A40 as it leaves West Wycombe village heading towards Stokenchurch, it is lined with trees that are covered in pink blossom at this time of year, linking the old village buildings with the surrounding countryside which is also sporting its fresh wardrobe of gorgeous spring green. One of the uplifting experiences we shall miss during Lockdown this year.

Your garden looks lovely and so natural.

Cheers for nice comments.
The natural look in part is a mixture of removing invasive plants & weeds from time to time, trimming & shaping, encouraging wildlife to bring new plants into the mix.
Oddly enough I'm constantly amazed by the number of new plants that just appear.
Our dog stays out of the front garden & digs & eats soil out in the back. Some of the back is left natural but a lot is a work in progress after almost 30 yrs.

I love the way you garden Bill...so natural. Its a funny thing...this is not the way I garden at all, and I don't think I 'could'. But whenever I see or visit a garden with this natural 'wild but gentle' look and feel, I find it absolutely magical to be in. Thank you for sharing. :)

The front garden is a 3ft border with various shrubs & bulbs & roses with an island in the middle surrounded by medium stones. I have various pots on the gravel area & by the wall on the car & front door area. Blue bells ,welsh poppies, strawberries, ajunga, thyme or marjoram, and lots more besides have self seeded.Foxgloves, ladies mantle, verbena can be a pain.Last yr & this a tiny euphorbia just appeared & I left it
