Garden Show

Well, like Grindle, I went to the Shepton Mallet Garden Show. I agree there was not so much there as usual, but what was there was quite well organised and it was more compact, so it suited me not having to walk so far ! I missed the big Floral Marquee too, as like Grindle says, it was in three large hangars instead. The Dahlia Show was very good, as were some of the flower arrangements, but as for things and plants to buy, well it was disappointing in that respect but I did manage to spend some money on a few plants. Well you couldnt go to a place like that and not buy plants could you… Will put a few photos on for you to see.
These were giant cucumbers !
Hope you enjoy these

Thats very true. Saying that though I did enjoy my day, the weather was beautiful.

When the weather's good you want the event to be as good, don't you ? !
I used to go to the Bath & West showground at the beginning of each May, for their agricultural show ..... that got worse and worse and the years that the weather was bad it seemed twice as awful ;-)
In good weather you can forgive a lot more !!!

Yes I agree Louise, in fact last year I said I wouldnt go again, but I got persuaded to go, and it did make a pleasant day out, so I'm not really grumbling.
Thank you Cazzalyn and Sixpence for your kind comments.

So glad you enjoyed your day. The photo of the Bonsai is stunning ............ wish I had the time and the patience to do such wonderful things with trees .......... they are very clever, aren't they?

Yes they are, but I think they are very time consuming, like having to be watered every day, etc. But there were some beautiful ones there.

You took a lovely lot of photos there Cinderella. It looks like you must have had a good time. The last time I was in Shepton Mallet was in about 1972 when I went to the 3 day Blues Festival that was held in a big field-such memories...lol :-))
