Front garden improvements

Well, after my Landscaper left me in the lurch, I was over the moon when the lad who laid our patio turned up and asked if he could finish the job himself! So happy! He’s done most of the work on the garden path, it just needs pointing and gravel now.

Today we have been prepping the front for him to lay a new tiny patio here for our sundowners. It faces west toward the woodland so is lovely in the evening with the birdsong.

The builders had planted Hebes there at my front door…lovely dwarf ones with tons of white flowers. But they are bee magnets, which isn’t great right at the front door, especially with a toddler coming most days. So we lifted a strip of turf under the front hedge with next door and moved them there. I’ve given them a really good soaking and hopefully they will be ok. It was far too dry where they were before. Tomorrow we will lift more turf and then on Monday the work all kicks off again. Hopefully!

As you can see, we are still living on a building site, and landscaping seems to have come to a halt which is worrying. But hopefully they will be back soon and get it finished and go away!
