just taking a little look back to see how thing are progressing .


this was how it used to look till we took all the hawthorns down .


mike starting the mammoth task o and doing a bit of posing as well …. tarzan eat ur heart out lol.


trees gone ..planting begins


decided to put a little swing on the bank


large pot planted with dafs and crabapple


can’t believe how fast stuff spreads looking back


decking in to cover septic tank ,


rustic steps on the banking


using cut logs to stop soil erosion


its spread so much


have moved a few things since these pics .


decided to link the trellis with an arch and grow a montag and honeysuckle over it but going to be nxt year be fore it get going


planted my old fire pit up with grass and huekera


few more pots and baskets , they make great fillers for emty spaces


think i wont bore you any more , if you enjoy looking at the progress of my garden then take a look at the rest of the pics on gallery. i have gone back to begining and just picked a few to show how thing have come on . and i have to say ….. you forget wot you have done till you look back lol. carnt wait for next year to shift it all around and tweek it here and there . x

lol linda ..... if he looked like tarzan in real life .i wud b swinging tro the trees wth him .... not doing the garden haha. well best i get from him is .. he digs the holes and i plant em up , but then thats the best bit haha x

You've both worked very hard to accomplish all your changes...especially getting all the hedging removed. It's a nice idea to re-use the wood at the borders to keep the soil in place.

I like your swing...you must feel like the queen surrounding your kingdom when you sit up there and overlook your garden, Cristina :)

It is looking lovely, I like the slopes, that is about the only thing I would wish for in my garden other than a gardening genie to help with the work of course. lol

thanks very mucvh evry one it does look very dif from beging of the year . looking a bit sad now wth all the rain we haveing but try to b posative and get out there much as poss . wont tell oh his new nick name lol .... he might get a big head haha x lets see your year of gardening now !!!

Not only beautiful and interesting but you must have just about every plant there is, and I'll bet you know the names. I think gardening is all about change though it helps to have a 'Tarzan' to assist (sorry Mike) ;-))

Still not 100% thanks Christina but improving, sadly can't do the housework yet and any gardening has to be in a supervisory capacity. Must try not to get too used to it ;-)

Fantastic, what a project, isn't it amazing what a person can accomplish. Gardeners are NOT lazy people 4 sure. We are crazy. Love your blog, interesting progress. And Tarzan grrrr!!! what a man you have Cristina Just make sure he is not too tired at nigh to also do the cooking etc.!!!!Lol!!!

allexs , i only buy plants wen i have a spare bit of mony.... i save up be fore doing any thing mager like decking . plants i spilt and move around allso pepole buy me presents or give me free plants which i am very gratfull for. we are very much into recycerling anything lol so try not to spend any mony if we can . and we def shop around if we have too. all our wood is free and we get top soil and well rotted muk from the farm free . is there any were you can get any near you . i dont think you need a lot of mony ... just imaganation and i am sure you have plenty of that as we all do !!! thankyou for your coments , its wot spurs me on and i have learnt so much on here xx

A lovely blog of your garden, Cristina. it wasn't boring at all I love the pictures of the progress you have made, I always like before & after pics where you can see the differences! We so quickly forget things & need to be reminded at times of what they used to be like.
