It’s not raining, I can’t wait to get out into the garden, those young blackbirds are still being bullies and chasing all the other birds off.
I have to ring the dentist in half an hour, I hope i can get in this morning (not that i want to get in) think i have a hole in one of my
fillings (ouch) quite painful.
I have so much dead heading to do i don’t know where to start.
Eileen, I really hope the day becomes fine and dry for you, and for anyone else who has rain at the moment.

The forecast is 'dry' here for the rest of the day,
with 5 overgrown lawns and beech, hazel, privet and leylandii hedges to trim
I need to be out there making the most of the break in the weather.
But can I sum up the energy and drive ? Doubtful, I have caught what Paul describes as 'man-flu' and feel like a 'wet-weekend', washed out.
I am praying for another break in the weather as soon as I feel better :-)

Very heavy showers interspersed with rain here. I haven't been able to bring my topsoil in and it's about 2 months now since it was delivered.
I'm going to make some pottery this afternoon. I have one on half that I want to finish.
I hope you got to the dentist and it solved the problem for you Daff.
Better get your dead heading done before the rain spreads east !
Best wishes, H

Hope you got in the dentist this morning, and you are feeling better, the weather up to now as been dry and sunny today, but quite windy.

Fifi - UGH doesn't stand for anything,I suppose I could type in YUK or Yeuch instead! It just means that the soggy flowers are horrible to touch - you're not thick, by the way!
Weather here very odd today - a mix of a few rays of sunshine then showers, off and on all day...

You poor thing - a trip to the Dentist is definitely needed! Good luck with that.
I agree with you about dead-heading. I have tried to do a trug-full whenever the rain stops, but the poor flowers are just not lasting and I have lots of soggy rotting blooms (UGH) to cut off!
