Autumn

It’s going to be one of those still autumn days….which I love. There are plenty of jobs to do, one of them is to take the dying tomatoe plants out of the green house and get it ready for winter. Its a bit sad I think when everything is dying back for winter but the promise of next spring is already showing, the blackberry bush has new buds on, hpefully next year I will have a crop of berries. I pruned it back too hard and didnt get any this year as also happened with my blueberry bushes, each year I learn new lessons, each year my garden evolves and each year I love it more. I have collected sunflower seeds….some for the birds ..some for next year. Thee are the last of my carrots which didnt get much of a chance to grow as we were eating them as soon as they were big enough and the fuschia was a jewel in the garden this year.

I wondered thwt, it looks like penguins in the north pole. I like the fuchsia.

Your photos are lovely D. You've a good eye for capturing those sunflower seeds. Did you get your herbs planted up?
Autumn is a nice season...the colours of Autumn are my favourite...and the spring holds a lot of promise when everything awakens from it's sleepy time. I can vouch for your garden....always interesting. Good luck with the blueberries next year :)
