Hi Everyone, thought you might be interested to see some photos of my day out to Gardeners World Live. We (me and hubby) got there around 10 am got our show guide and then sat down to have a coffee and check out the show guide, mind you this our 6th time going so we are quite used to it by now. Then we were off ….
Firstly we looked around some small show gardens, of which a few photos are shown below, then it started to drizzle and went a bit cool so we decided to go inside to the Malls. Firstly we went round the Summer Good Food Show which was also on, where you could sample lots of food items like hot chilli sauces, cheeses, sausages, medditeranean foods, and then various drinks, Toffee Vodka, ports, wines, ciders, and you could pay £7 and go round the Tasting Beers Live but there were enough free samples to go round.
After this we decided to have lunch and then went to the indoor Plant Avenue where there was about 8 nurseries selling plants there were lots but couldnt decide what to buy. Then we came across the Acamba Exotics and they had some really good sized Phyllostachys Nigra (black bamboo) so we bought one of these and also a white Agapanthus which set the ball rolling. Next we went outside again but it started to throw it down with rain so we then went to the best bit The Floral Marquee!! where we got cracking on buying some beauties! Here is a list of the plants we bought
Phyllostachys Nigra (black bamboo)
Agapanthus Africanus
Polystichum Polydepharum (fern)
Philladelphus ‘Belle Etoile’
Stipa Gigantea
Darmera Peltata
Trifolium Rubens
Trifolium Ochraleuca
Echinacea Purpurea
Echinacea ‘White Swan’
Centaura Dealbata
Tradescantia ‘Valour’
We were in the Floral Marquee for about 2 hours and when we went back outside there were not many people about it was around 5.00 pm, so we then finally had a stroll around the Show Gardens but it was very cloudy, here are a few pictures below
And finally here is a photo of me with all our plants and the plants all waiting to be planted

Glad you had a wonderful time and bought so many plants. I'm surprised you had such bad weather though. I hope it didn't disappoint you too much.

thanks everyone, yes it was the only disappointment the weather, we only had rain once before and we were in the marquee then it cleared up,but this time it was dull cloudy and rainy! obviously it didnt really spoil the day although it threw it down all the way back to the car aswell so we were soaked all part of the fun hey!:^)

I bought some of the large foxgloves at the end of the show. not many flowers on now:-( I did try some dips and a rather nice curry sauce which I thought about buying. When I was told it was £4 I asked if they took cards as I had no cash left, fortunately they didn't:-))
