Sights and Flora Our Holiday to Kos, Greece 2013

What a beautiful place. I wanted to ask if you knew what the flowering trees were on your avenue walk into Kos. They look Ever so much like hawthorn in the picture! but of course they aren't. I just wondered what they are.....I've never been to Greece at all Daylily, it looks really lovely. I would like to see Corfu one day. :)

Hi karen thankyou, I was thinking exactly the same when I put the pic on I don't know what they are either but they do look nice don't they. We have been to greek islands years ago and for our honeymoon, and have been to cyprus when our eldest was younger ps that's her in the pic with the trees. We are going again so I will take a closer look at those trees!! We do like greece! :))

I loved Cyprus, so I'm sure I would love Greece :)

What gorgeous flowers that line the sea front, so happy you enjoyed your holiday, nice to see a bit of sun and how clean it all looks same in Europe except for here.

Lovely pictures Daylily. I love Greece. We visited most of the major islands but never Kos. We spent a bit of time on Samos which we loved and it was only a hop to Kusadasi on the Turkish side (to see Ephesus) We have great memories from that trip. We bought 2 carpets in Turkey which was an experience by itself. We have them in our house on Vancouver Island and cherish them.
I wish to visit again but we just live too far now...on the other side of the planet :-)

Hi klahanie thankyou your welcome. We've visted crete, zante and a little island called spetses years ago and also cyprus we've only travelled that side. You can go across to turkey from kos but we didnt , a few people said it can be quite an experience as you said! Yes you are quite a long way off lol would take longer than a few hours! At least you have your memories and souvenirs its always nice to buy something! Lovely to speak to you thanks again :))

Great pictures Daylily we've never been to Kos it looks gorgeous, we have been to Corfu many times in fact that's where me and Rob(OH) went on our first holiday together 28 years ago!!! Crikey that makes me feel old:-), we hired one of those mopeds and had a great time :-)

Hi Simbad thanks, we've just been again as we enjoyed it so much last year, me and hubby did same 27 years ago went to a little island called Spetses and went to Crete on our honeymoon and did the moped, Spetses wasn't big enough lol :))
