Busy, busy, busy

Like Wyeth, I too seem to struggle to keep up with things and whilst I generally mange to read all the GOY entries I run out of time to comment or add my own entries! Recently, I have been truly inspired by many of the bloggs. There are some very busy gardeners out there and it shows! And despite, drought and gales you all seem so upbeat. I’m very impressed by your stoicism.

As for me and my garden, I’m just about keeping on top of it mainly trying to keep it watered. We have had only two very short showers since February. They keep forcasting rain, but…

Anyway, here are a couple of photos to show you what my garden is like at the moment.

Whilst it may not conform to any given ‘style’ (thinking Chelsea here) and it needs quite a bit of ‘tweaking’ it does what I want it to – attract bees, butterflies and other wildlife. I have noticed at least seven different kinds of bee, so I’m delighted. I even came across a little frog yesterday evening when I was out with the hosepipe.

The paeony is on it’s second flush of flowers, I’ve eaten my first strawberries of the year already and the raspberries are just turning red – and we’re not in June yet!

I’ll try and get a few more photos posted over the next couple of days. In the meantime, happy gardening everybody!

Your garden is looking lovely, we had rain this morning in Axminster (East Devon) but only for a short time.

Thanks for a lovely blog, Diggin - you are absolutely right with what you say about gardens - we each have our own corner of paradise - not always up to Chelsea standards but at least they are our own. Happy Gardening.

Love your garden, df. Your lawn is looking lush and sets off the rest of the garden well.

Your garden is lovely. It doesn't have to conform to any style except what you want it to be.
I don't have time to see all that's on here. I haven't seen any photos for about a week and I am behind the times with the blogs lol. Don't worry about it.
