You've bought loads!! I love the acers (hope you don't manage to kill yours within 24 hours like I did mine) and I'm sure I spotted a sempervivum too which I love.
Have fun planting and potting them all up:)

Ooh, what a lovely selection, Dick. Bet you can't wait to get started on the planting. Love the acers and the vivid blue of the daisy type flower.

A few plants? You got lots of nice healthy looking ones! Looking forward to seeing how you place them in your front garden - I am always looking for ideas as just have grass and a hedge at present!

Thanks for all your nice comments everyone,ok ok Louisa,Kildermorie and Grandmage... not a few plants...several in fact Lol approx. £200 worth!
I have tried to get a nice selection of what I like.
Actually pics 1,2 and 3 plants I purchased about 10days ago and have got quite a few planted already, the last pic I purchased these on bank holiday Monday and have some of these planted up as well.Still got some more to do though.
Youngdaisyd,I got inspiration from your tropical border idea which looks fantastic by the way, when I selected some of the plants as I am trying to get a tropical/jungle looking garden, which I started last year, unfortunately a lot of them died.
Louisa,I like acers too and have wanted to get one...well two actually for some time,I also purchase a couple of pots to put them in until they get well established, and yes you did see a few semps,I already have a few in my rockery and could not resist buying a few more.
TT and Tuesdaybear the blue daisy type plant is Senetti Pericallis Hybrid Deep Blue,I fancied something with bright colour as I have not got much flowering in the garden at the moment and thought this looked quite stunning.
I have spent the last few weeks reconditioning my soil before planting as it is full of clay and very sticky when wet,but rock hard when dry so very difficult to work.Although some plants have survived the last few years many have not,but I am learning.
I have taken between 6 - 12 inches of soil out so far across one side of my garden and seived it all, what went through the seive I kept and mixed with plenty of compost, sharp sand, new top soil and blood/fishbone.The rest I have discarded as it is lumpy/sticky.Hopefully I have put some goodness back into the soil and plants will grow better. It has been hard work doing it all though.
I will show some of the planting up on my next blog.
Thanks everyone.

Thank you Youngdaisyd,
I did put a lot of mulch around and fleeced as many plants as I could from last year and only unwrapped them a couple of weeks ago but sadly a lot had died or disappeared completely.I managed to get 5 potted plants into my conservatory before Winter but 2 of them died.Guess i'm not very good with plants,oh well.
