My little bird flew for the first time
This is the state of my little parakeet when I first bought it. Not very good. After a trip to the vets and a lot of TLC it is now flying around my avairy and very happy .It has taken a while and it is still very nervous of people but this little bird has come back from all off the odds and is happy. And I am very happy as well . These are a couple off photos to show you
The little bird sitting with it is a grass Parakeet and they stay together all the time Its so lovely to watch. The Bourge parakeet ( The sick one ) went which seems ages with out flying Its left wing was just hanginging down and getting in its way when it was moving. So it just kepted trying to fly and landing on floor, The vet could not find any breaks so we stapped the wing to bird ( not Easy with a small bird with a hard beak and I have the bites to show you ) I really had lost all hope of this bird ever being able to have a normal birdie life. But last week I was watching it and I noticed it was steching out both its wings ( and the bad one). the next day it was flying plus jumping from the pearches and the next day it was flying from pearch to pearch, I was sitting outside at 6 30 in the morning in my dressing gown having my normall smoke when I first saw it flying . I shouted up to him indoors and he could not understand what all the fuss was about untill he saw that little bird using its wings and I am really happy for the little bird with a bad start to its life due to people. But I am not happy happy about the fantastic sex I could have that morning LOL We all pay the price XXXX

Pleased to read the little fellow is doing so nicely and your attention and patience has paid off. It's nice that he has a pal to stick close to as well, Donnah. You did right to buy him and bring him back to good health. Maybe one day he will find it easier to trust...hope so :)

Well done Donnah... !!!
It must have been so very wonderful seeing the little bird use its wings for the first time...
When I bought my little budgie 6 years ago, he was very frightened of everyone and everything, but he became perky and bold as he grew older and got to know me...
I hope your little Parakeet soon becomes more friendly and confident....
such good news that the wings are both working well :o)))
