Washd out

HI eveyone, Long tme since I was here.
Well I don’t knowabout you all, but we have been washed out here in wales.
Rain, rain and more rain. The river vally’s are all flooded and although we are 700ft above sea level we had water flooding down the road and into the driveway, luckily it stopped there.
Have only managed to get out ino the garden on several occasions over the past 6 weeks. Have managed o get all my plants under cover for the winter and have tried to sweep up the falen leaves from the lawns, but have only managed t stuff 5 compost bags full then the howling gail stopped me, have got at least 5 piles of leaves to pickup so probably another 5 bags to go when I can get out there.
Checking the greenhouses where plants, seedlings and cuttings are, found something had been chewing off the seedlings ofthe hot poker seeds I had sewn, and ha been digging in trays as well. Had to set traps. and sadly cought lots of mice. They had also got into the shed where I am keeping the potatoes an had a go at them as well.
I had been doing well with all the garden chored untill the rain set in, and when it dose , here in wales it never seems to stop for months on end.
I have been spending some time writing a book on Calendulas. But don’t know where to go from there.
Well Christmas is rund the corner, ad we are on our own this year so it will be verry quiet, and I don’t like that at all.
I hav been asked to do the decorations in the church again, so some thought ha to go into how I am goint to make the swaggs of flowers that will hang from the windows, they will have to last for at least 2 weeks.
I have been ordering seeds and have now got a collection ready to start sewing first thing in the new year.

You've still managed to get a lot done in spite of the terrible weather. No wonder the mice wanted to get under cover. Maybe if you made them little macs, they wouldn't come in! Well not those ones, aah, but future ones.
You obviously can't just let them have all your potatoes though. If only they would be satisfied with a portion just for them!
Goog luck with your church decorations - quite a challenge 2 weeks.
