It's so dis-heartening to see our gardens a mess isn't it?
I too have lost a couple of shrubs and I fear one of my favourite Delphiniums has gone too. I agree with you about daylilies. Hardy little things aren't they. Keep your chin up. Spring really is on the way. Honestly.

My garden looks the same - dead. Spring hasn't arived anywhere yet. It's only the beginning of February - that's winter.
There may be a few signs of growth in some places, but spring isn't here yet.

Spring is around the corner and there are definately signs of life which is quite invigorating in some ways. However, my garden is like a bog on one side, I fear that I may still loose more plants to water logging to go along with the 2 beautiful hebes I lost with the snow and ice! :o(

It must be warmer here in Devon, I have crocus and iris out in the garden. Spring is round the corner, just image what it will look like in a few weeks.

Gardening with friends since

Oh dear ellise think everyone feels the same after last winter, lost count of the number of shrubs I've lost, strong winds too the other day found my really huge cistus uprooted halfway across the garden, one thing that survives every winter no matter what though are my collection of daylilies, can't recommend them enough, sooo addictive.
Hope you find more plants emerging soon and enjoy the bulbs:-)
