Douglas

We went shopping today & as we were putting things in the boot my husband said, oh look over there & a very dirty & thin white cat was sitting by another car.I opened one of the tins of cat food that we had just bought & went over to him & he came nearer to me & then ate some of the food from my hand. We both decided that we didn`t want to leave him in the carpark & so picked him up & he sat on my lap in the car bless him. We then took him to the rspca & by the time we got there he was purring & i`d named him Douglas!
The lady at the rspca checked for a microchip but there wasn`t one & she said he will need a wash & then the vet will look at him. He just laid on the table purring with relief that people were giving him a fuss & showing him some kindness. It is such a shame that he had been living as a stray as he is such a loving, friendly cat.
My heart said keep him but my head said that 4 cats is enough plus i think that Max would not like another male cat & i am sure he will soon have a good home & at least he is not lonely & living at a carpark any more.

He sounds a most remarkable cat, to just sit on your lap in the car! my old cat used to yowl if we had to take her anywhere in the car. Is he all white? let's hope someone adopts him, will they let you know what happens to him?:-)
