SHY VISITOR

We get lots of visitors to our stream but they usually find us without a camera to hand.
However, this morning I had the camera and came across this mallard. I took a few photos before he terminated the ‘shoot’ and flew off to another part of the stream where I left him in peace.

He's very handsome and has every right to pose for you! It's not often you can get close enough to birds to get a good pic so hooray for a zoom lens!

Lovely blog and photo`s are smashing.....If I lived anywhere near a stream or river I`d be there all the time and never get any work done.....

Hywell...Ah, I'm not alone then. The 'originals' did'nt do him justice ...

.Lincslass..When we bought the mill house we couldn't get within 20M of the stream for dense brambles. So clearing the steam banks (about 500M by brush cutter and lopper) took 2 years.....but it was worth it. A glass of wine, a book and a nice summer's evening is all I ask.

Thanks to all who liked/commented.
