From Rose to Cheeseplant 'overnight'....

We’ve been spraying this rose as it wasn’t doing well. However, this afternoon I saw there were ‘more holes than leaves’ and, on inspection, found clumps of eggs and small green caterpillars on almost every leaf.
I’ve picked them off and wonder from which pest they come. Any ideas?

I don't know what they are either :(
My plants are all struggling...shortage of water and under attack from pests (except snails/slugs) which seem to love the drought.
It rained all night last night, though, for the first time since Feb! Probably just in time to encourage the slimy ones!

i've found i have the same problem! I've just posted a question with pic's, i should take more time checking whats been posted!
My cabbages and cauliflower have holes in them and they've been under fleece? I'm out there every morn and nite trying to catch what ever it is with no joy!
My mum said to get a spray bottle crush sum garlic cloves jus under a knife, pop them in with some boiling water, let it stand for an hour or so they spray away.
Not sure if its such a good idea on a rose tho, specially if it's scented, that would be silly!
Mine is yet to flower tho so was thinking i might give it a go before they eat it all! xx

I don't know but they are horrible. I have squashed five red lily beetles last week. I hope the good weather doesn't encourage a lot of unwelcome visitors!!
