End of the rainbow (part 2)

For those that remember the rainbow’s end in my meadow……
English friends arrived, with a metal detector, to stay for a while.
Although we didn’t find the “crock of gold” (regrets to all who requested a share) we found umpteen coins, etc. There has been a mill here since medieval times and the finds date from the earliest days.
Jetons (counting pieces from the 15th C)
Pewter sheep/goat bells
Musket/pistol balls
Silver/copper coins from the Napoleonic era
Silver/copper coins from the mid 19th C
Tunisian coins from WorldWar1 (were there Tunisian soldiers billetted here?)
varying broken rings and brooches
We’ll do a more detailed seach soon and, who knows, perhaps the ‘gold’ will be found; so don’t give up hope…
