Oh no not those flowers again!

To counteract the bad feeling & umbrage that’s been rampaging in Goy over the last couple of days…I just have a few happy pics to show you…& yes, I’m really sorry, but they’re the same flowers I’ve already shown you!!
First…I seem to have grown mutant tomatoes….like something out of a horror film…
…not sure what happened there!
The sweet peas are still going… & the glads…& the morning glories…
I also have square MGs! Plus blurred Campanulas (quite hard to grow actually!) &…these pretty little things which I can never remember the name of!…but I’m going to have all the different colours of them next year as they are soooo lovely…
Also…I went to the garden centre with a £10 voucher…& spent £20…oops!
A lovely yellow Potentilla, some pretty Violas, a pot of hardy Cyclamen, a new Sedum called Rubrotinctum & a Houttuynia called Pied Piper as I lost my other one this summer…
Oh & the MG up a tree & the beautiful colour the Acer has turned this week…&…well… then the cats got in the way!!! (As usual!)
Plus an eagle that landed in my garden some time ago…I’ve never known what to do with him but he looks like he needs a coat of varnish!
Hope you all had a good, sunny day as we did here…& enjoyed your gardens in the spirit for which Goy was intended.xx

Don't know why I chose poor Digger but we all feel the same I guess.
Thank you Doon...My Mgs were just planted everywhere I could find a spot as I grew so many!! They look great growing up the Eucalyptus tree...& the Clematis...& with the glads.....!!

Fluff lovely photos My sweet peas have been finished ages ago mind you I did start them early this year.Love your pussy cats
19 Sep, 2009
Yes but I was very late in planting them Donna....same with the Morning Glories who were vying with the threat of frosts before they appeared!!
19 Sep, 2009
Great shots Fluff, the eagle looks good as it is but a coat of varnish will preserve him for longer.
And yes Mookins you hit it right on the head there, Statler and Waldorf, Brilliant! :o)))
19 Sep, 2009
Great blog Fluff, glad the MG's are finally getting there. Do you think a coat of varnish might cheer big bird up - he looks a bit glum! lol
........by the way, how can you kill Houttiana? It was a menace in my last garden, we had to move house to be rid of it! LOL
19 Sep, 2009
I thought so too Lily...unkillable! It was in a pot on the decking...thought that was a good way to keep it contained...& it was...so good it b******d off!
Obviously found somewhere better to live!
I thought when I was buying it...Goyers are going to say 'Don't pay good money for that...we can't get rid of it!' ;0)
19 Sep, 2009
The Eagle was carved in Zimbabwe & has had 2 coats of wood seal already but he soaks it up too well!! He hasn't got a name tho'...any suggestions?
19 Sep, 2009

19 Sep, 2009
I liked the blog, flowers ,and the cats.I have three cats ,plus two strays.I planted cornflower and poppy seeds late they have just flowered. There is quite a bit of late colour in the garden just now.
19 Sep, 2009
Your tomatoes must be little green men from out of space, to give us earthly woman a taste. beautiful blog
19 Sep, 2009
Hmmm thats true Fluff, and was'nt he blue as well?
19 Sep, 2009
Yep that's the one Fluff!!!
19 Sep, 2009
Thanks Mavis...would love to see some pics of your cats some time. I bought the violas as they flower for so long hopefully.
The knobbly toms are really weird Morgana...but they probably taste the same!!
19 Sep, 2009
I have had strange shapes and yes they have tasted no different.
19 Sep, 2009
You mean I've gotta paint him blue? Curiouser & curiouser...said Alice!
19 Sep, 2009
I have the dvd of Alice one of my favourites, I also have the first book when he changed the story its very old but alas some pages are missing but what the heck its over 100 yrs old.

19 Sep, 2009
Hi Fluff I think your eagle looks so damn miserable because he's Consti****d just look how he's sitting poor fellow hanging on for dear life ................ :~))
19 Sep, 2009
Hey hey...you could be right Digger! Or I could call him Haemorrhoid Herman!!
19 Sep, 2009
Well Marie & Dan...I have to to sleep myself now before I send out the zzzs over my laptop...enjoy your bedtime reading of the Twilight Zone blogs & see you in the morning!
Nite nite Ian & Carol...xx
19 Sep, 2009
Night Fluff!
19 Sep, 2009
Ooooh Fluff that sounds proper painful. Drivers disease is no laughing matter, having been a driver for the majority of my working life I instantly sympathise with him. Poor fellow ............. :~((
Nitey nite, don't let the bed bugs bite! ! ! ;~))
19 Sep, 2009
Loved all your photos, not sure if the cat or the flowers steal the limelight! Our morning glories are flourishing after all the rain and are everywhere (traffic signs, light posts, highway...). Beautiful.
20 Sep, 2009
Thanks Hmhb..How wonderful to see them everywhere...it was like that in Crete...blue all over the place just like we have the white bindweed in the hedgerows...a relation I suspect. People call it a weed but I think it looks lovely.
20 Sep, 2009
I agree! Its gorgeous! And I love bindweed too! I'm gonna get an allotment just for growing "thugs"!!! ;~))
20 Sep, 2009
Great idea Marie....I've grown up with 'weeds' all around me & always thought they were 'wild flowers'!
20 Sep, 2009
Thats exactly what they are!! The ones I like, people keep telling me are "thugs", but if you like them, let them be!
;~))
A weed is just a plant in the wrong place, so move it to the right place!! LOL!
20 Sep, 2009
This is a bit controversial but why not call the eagle -
Mugabe?
20 Sep, 2009
Aw no Andrew... my eagle's not a murdering scumbag...he's just got an attitude! ;0)
20 Sep, 2009
So call it Indy! LOL!
20 Sep, 2009
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha NICE one Marie.
20 Sep, 2009
Wow, yr sweet peas are amazing to still be going, they look great and so do m. glories - I don't have any but my nice neighbour planted some climbing up her back fence right in our line of vision at front of our house - grin - so I'm not sure she actually sees them at all. How kind and selfless is that?!
I must pass judgement on the squatting eagle however. He looks as if he's in pain. Does he need to powder his nose quite urgently?
21 Sep, 2009
Yes he does look like he's squatting! I just think he always looks so cross!
21 Sep, 2009
Good day at work, fluff?
21 Sep, 2009
Not bad thanks Marie...and you? I miss all the sun tho' as the factory only has skylights way up high!
21 Sep, 2009
There is no sun here! Still trying to sort out the student loan, apparently the uni forgot to notify them i'd enrolled!!
But other than that, yes, a pretty good day, thanks! Tomorrow's the long one! Leave at 7, get back about 6.15!!
21 Sep, 2009
That's a normal day for me!! We work too hard! Sending you some of the yellow stuff...:o)
21 Sep, 2009
Thank you, can I have it for wednesday, please? Going to Pitlochry (just to get plants!) & Blair Castle with David then. Blogs will happen!
21 Sep, 2009
Whooohooo...I went to Pitlochry over 30 years ago...stayed in a lovely old white house with a river at the bottom of the garden!
Sorry...I digress...yes Sunshine on order for Wed! Enjoy castle...look forward to pics!!
21 Sep, 2009
Your all black cat is so like my long departed animal, I can almost feel her fur and hear her very noisy purr - I do miss having cats so much.
21 Sep, 2009
So do I! I can only have one because psycho Smudge hates cats! Just had to go out & drag her in, fighting again! Unreal!
21 Sep, 2009
I haven't got any now, not allowed in this flat. When I had more than one, they were from the same litter - don't think they always settle together if they're not, Madperth
21 Sep, 2009
Mine lived wild, so doesnt know she's a cat!
21 Sep, 2009
Ah, an ex feral cat then?
21 Sep, 2009
Dumped in the woods off the motorway, & obviously badly treated before that! :~((
Lived wild for 2 years+ before I got her!
21 Sep, 2009
Poor thing - she'll never tolerate another cat though, except sometimes they'll accept a kitten, but its always a bit risky
21 Sep, 2009
I tried with a young cat, but it was hell! the only animal she'll tolerate & make friends with is the hedgehog she brought home! I'm sure she thinks she IS one! She's not too bothered about dogs tho!
21 Sep, 2009
lol
