Fungus (not) the Bogeyman

Here are a few photos for any Mycologists who may be present… For us more ’umble mortals, a few pics of various Fungi. All taken this month (Oct).

A fascinating branch of biology about which I wish I knew more; If only to eat them! I do not trust my limited knowledge to allow me to taste them. I will content myself with buying the edible ones from the shops.

Where possible I try to use the natural light rather than flash. This has resulted in a couple of the pics (the close-ups), being adjusted for colour, but in the main they are shown in their setting – usually dark, damp places.

Hope you enjoy…

Interestingly we live on Vancouver Island in Canada and I just commented that we have more mushrooms around than I have ever seen.
I posted couple of pictures on GOY but it is more effective in a blog like yours FC. Truly enjoyed looking at the pictures.

I wouldn't dare pick any of them as definitely have no knowledge of which are dangerous and vice versa, great photos Fractual, even damp dark places have a beauty of their own if one cares to look.....

Excellent pictures, fractal. I don't recognise any as being edible.
